Today was the big day!! The baby shower!! I have the best family and friends anyone could ever ask for!! The threw the most adorable perfect shower ever!! I think my camera is messed though becasue these pictures didn't turn out too good but something is better than nothing I guess...This first pic is me and my mom with the frame she made me!!

He is finally here! My brother in law that is from Bolivia made it to the US after almost a year of waiting. Last time we saw him was last December in Bolivia at the wedding. We are so happy for Johanna after a year of marriage she finally gets to be with her husband! Last night to celebrate we all went and met him at the airport then went out to eat at Market street!! yum! then we took him to see his new bronco and we had a dance party in the parking lot of sportsman's warehouse. Thats two things us Hasler's spend a lot of time doing, going to sportsman's and having dance party's. I got the dancing on film. it was so funny.

bad news, good news

bad news first, our gos hawk thor passed away this week. My poor hubby was so sad about it. He was chasing a quail and slammed into a fence. So sad. But a couple days later we had two surprise kitties dropped off on our porch!! We weren't really looking for any more animals, but jord likes them so we are just going to let them live outside. They are pretty cute. We have been having lots of fun with them. The only problem is that they hate Brin and she wants to play with them so bad.

I Just have to say that I really do have the best husband in the world. I know everyone says that but I mean it with my whole heart. I wont even attempt to put into words how incredible he is. I for sure do not deserve him and don't know how I got so lucky!! I am so blessed to have this great guy in my life! and yes all the pics we have of him are hunting pics or animal related in some way. I left out pics of the lion hounds, antelope hunting, elk hunting, coyotes and other small game and trapping, but I'll use those next time. I love him so much!!

I think this event is definately post worthy!! All us Haslers got to gether for a bball game on jakes b day, it was amazing. They were all such good players!! Finnaly nan said I didnt have rules and I got to play on both teams. It was awesome I just danced around and fowled the crap out of everyone. After wards we got to witness nan and steve do a one on one. It was so funny! Then we all went to wingers to collect our trophy's. I'm still not sure why I got one. It was a ton of fun though. I love my inlaws so much! We always have a blast tohether!! Notice how hot my hubbys legs are.......

my first real hunt!!

Well here it is my first official hunt. It was much different than I thought it would be, in a good way of course. I had the best time ever chillin with my hubby out in the middle of nowhere in wyoming. We saw tons and tons of animals, jammed out and ate jerkey and pepsi all day. It was awesome. Where we were all you could see was wilderness. I love the feeling of being far away from civilization its so peaceful. After this weekend I decided I wanted to go big or go home so I decided to get my hunters ed out of the way, and I just passed my test tonight, yay!!! So to sum it all up I would say that hunting for me, like many others is not just about killing an animal. not at all. It's all about the whole experience of being out in nature and seeing wildlife in its natural state. The peacefulness and beauty of the surroudings are always good for my soul. and last but not least sharing a good time and great experience with the love of my life!!!

Here are a couple pics of our newest addition,Thor, our goshawk. Jordan did falconry at a young age and recently decided he wanted to get back into it. This is not the easiest thing to do, you have to pass tests, have on site inspections, get state and federal permits, and put in alot of time into feeding and training. We have been having alot of fun though.

Goose hunting season is finnaly here! Jordan is a much happier person during the hunting season. He gets to kill geese, hunt lions with the hounds, kill things with thor, shoot deer , antelope and much more....oh lets not forget the ducks!!

when you get married your amount of family activities double. Jordan and I are fortunate enough to both have four parents instead of two so ours is even bigger. I swear half of our life is spent at family get togethers of some sort. luckily we couldnt ask for better family on any side. Lots of them are crazy but we love them all dearly and are so grateful to have them in our lives. and my mom was right.......my brothers and sisters are my best friends.

We have so much fun at the cabin and go up there as much as we can. These pics are only a few of the fun things we do up there. Along with the fishing, swimming and all jumping on nanner and steve in the morning we ride 4-wheelers, shoot stuff, have camp fires and lots of relaxing. I wish we could just live up there!! Just for fun, how many dogs and people are on the bed????

Oregon

Even though this trip to Oregon was back in May I decided I need to blog them anyway. This trip was so incredible for so many reasons. It was a wonderful experience to go be with the people Jordan served on his mission. Oregon was so beautiful and the Browns were awesome, we love them so dearly. If you ask Jord he would tell you they were the reason he went on a mission. So here is some pictures of Jeff Brown's cranes, they were so cool!

Same exact crane two minutes later attacking me. He must not like girls. You can't tell but when this guy stands up he is at least six feet tall....so it was kinda intemidating to get attacked and chased down by him. Jeff had to grab him because he started chasing me and biting my arms. It was pretty funny now that I look back on it.

Strawberry

This last weekend we spent the day up at Strawberry Resivor and Fished and let the dogs swim, Then we headed uo into the mountians for a bbq and some more fishing. It was so gorgeous where we went. We had tons of fun!!

Brin was sooooo tired after playing with her friends all day. I don't look to happy in this one......If you know me you know how accident prone I am. By this point I had already split my foot open from dropping wood on it and had my first experience with stinging needle. Oh and several mesquito bites. It was totally worth it though!

This is Rusty and Gus, Brin's best friends. They love to swim except Brin is a sissy about swimming so while I wasn't looking Jord threw her off the doc..... No she did not learn to swim. She almost drowned and he had to pull her out of the water. I wasn't very happy about it. Maybe Bullmastiffs just aren't meant to swim.

Today I went with my uncle Wayne and my aunt sonya to visit Derek. He is in a new hospital now that is up in bountiful. It seems much nicer than the U, as far as his room goes. He said the U has much better food and better lookin nurses though. He is making good progress and is woking hard to be able to come home. He spends most of his day in rehab. This has been quite the experience. It has been really hard at times, but he learned a great lesson and hopefully others can learn from him. I love this guy dearly. We are only six months apart and have always been close friends. Although he is paralized he seems hopeful and has a good attitude. I told him that my dad wanted me to tell him hi and he lit right up and said uncle Barry??? He seemed very excited to hear about his uncle Bary. This is still going to be a long journey, but things are hopeful.

Here are a few pics from the family party at grandma Barney's house. Dan and erin totally missed out. We had glow sticks and everything. Grandpa just got back from a fishing trip in alaska so we bbq'd fresh halibut, it was yummy! Eden was so amused by the fire works, she kept saying "wow" and "woah" in her tiny little voice it was so cute.

Maya loves her big Jordan (thats what she calls him since her brother's name is Jordan also) He is always up to play a game of hide and seek. Plus he is like a big kid sometimes and Maya loves to play with him

I went out and took some pics of the pigs this morning while they were out running aroung in the pasture. They are so funny. They are still pretty skiddish around us, until I get some fruit or in this picture they are eating left over cake. needless to say they loved it! When they get hot they try to swim in their troff and will dunk their heads under water and blow bubbles out their noses. They are so silly.

My Girls

This is eden, when we got her maya called her bahbah neenee because she couldnt say baby eden, and it kinda stuck so we call her neenee, bahboo or maya just callers her bob. She is one cute girl, when she hears music she cant help but to shake it. You would not believe the moves this 1 year old has. She is so sweet and loves to give kisses and say I Love You. Lately she has been calling me and work and blowing me kisses over the phone. I absolutely adore her!!

This is my sweet little sis maya. She has a very special place in my heart. Ever since my mom brought her home from the hospital I have had a special connection with her. I fed her, bathed her, slept with her and spent every moment I could with her. For the last 3 and 1/2 years I have been trying to convince my mom to let me have her but it hasn't worked. This little girl means the world to me!!!

Brin The Bullmastiff

Let me tell you a little bit about the best dog in the world. Her name is brin and she is a bullmastiff. I could not ask for a sweeter, or more obident dog. She is very calm and just loves to cuddle and nap. She loves little kids and is very gentle with them. She always stays close by and has such a cute personality. Even though she cant hunt anything Jord loves her too. I have always loved big dogs and am so happy I have her. The Haslers love her too, every time we go to their house brin comes. She fits right in and has a great time with sophie and sadie(their yorkie and black lab) Steve loves to rough house with her and Liz is always up for cuddling with her. Its funny how pets become part of the family.

Brin has this diaper she gets to wear a couple times a year when she is in heat. This is the only down side to her. Its definately not the most pleasant thing when a dog her size is in heat. but I just put diapers on her and its all good.

When ever we watch a movie she likes to get up on the love sac with us.

THIS IS OUR HOME!!

These are some of our cochin banties. Noodle is the white frizzle in the middle. We also have about a dozen laying hens that should start producing eggs pretty soon. I really like our chickens. They definately have personality and are funny to watch.

Here are two of the five walker hounds we have, we have had some good racoon hunts with these guys. Their names are Dan, Ann, Fern, Lady, and maggie.

Here are our sheep gillie and ear tag, they were the only survivors of the five bummer lambs we had. It was fun to bottle feed at first but then it got really draining after a while. They would get so excited when they saw us coming with bottles, it sounded like a whole bunch of babies screaming. I guess thats what it was. But it was for sure a cool expierence.

So as you all know we have a cute little farm, and we love it! Luckily we both love animals, espically Jord. He spends every minute he possibly can outside workin on the farm. Most people would not find joy in cleaning out the pigs and feeding all the animals but he lives for it. My personal favorite is the pigs, and don't forget my favorite chicken, his name is noodle. we also have sheep, hounds, pigeons and of course the cutest, best dog in the world, brin. We have alot of fun times together playing with our animals and working fixing up the barns and keeping up on the yard(well jord keeps pretty busy, I mostly just keep him company) The next thing to come is the falcon.......
